The EVER-CHANGING, CO-OP MUSEUM FEATURES OVER 100 YEARS OF AUTOMOTIVE HISTORY.

Located in the Old Clarkesville Mill, alongside one of the largest indoor antique malls in Georgia, Miles Through Time Automotive Museum boasts over 100 years of automotive history, memorabilia, art, and unique historical exhibits you won’t find anywhere else.

Miles Through Time is a nonprofit, “living” co-op-style automotive and history museum in Clarkesville, GA. Automobiles, memorabilia, and historical exhibits have all been donated or belong to those who support the museum and the historical preservation mission of Miles Through Time. This is not one man’s collection but a cooperative collection of dozens of supporters.

All of the displays are provided by people in and around the community. All of the exhibits you see are from people storing their beloved classic and exotic vehicles, as well as two-wheeled favorites.  Or the vehicles or automotive memorabilia have been donated or loaned to the nonprofit museum.

The museum is currently about 10,000 sq. ft. and averages around 40 full-size vehicles on display, plus vintage bicycles, pedal cars, motorcycles, a train, and over 1,500 model cars.

5TH ANNUAL CAR SHOW – 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Our Car Show is open to all years, makes and models, and anything cool that you’re proud of, including motorcycles!  More than 100 cars, trucks, etc. are expected at the show.  Registration starts at 10:00 AM.  There will be vendors, food, and music all day.

Free T-Shirts will be given out on a first come first serve basis with admission to the museum.

The Museum is also sponsoring a charity, Kaleb’s Cause at the show, which is to financially help children and their families facing heavy medical expenses.  The sponsorship is Kaleb’s Firetruck, a complete 1984 American LaFrance firetruck.

Drive and route:  We plan to caravan to Clarksville with an 8:00 AM departure from GA 400 Exit 12B.

Paula has made arrangements for our club to meet The Allante' Atlanta Club at EXIT 12B (which means we exit right and drive over 400 onto McFarland Parkway) to the Race Trac gas station. There is a traffic light at the Race Trac station which allows us easy exit left back on McFarland to 400N (exit left).

We will drive in the center lane on 400N which is three lanes until we reach highway 369, then 400 becomes two lanes.  We will then drive in the right lane to end of 400 (at a traffic light) which we will then be driving on GA 115 to GA 52.  This road is two lanes and not real busy except for local traffic.  We will be on this highway all the way to Clarkesville.

When we arrive in Clarkesville we will turn left on Washington Street and very soon on Grant Street.  We will be on Grant Street for about 10-15 minutes to the Museum and Car Show on the left.

Lunch:  Lunch has been reserved in Paula Vopelak’s name at The Attic restaurant in Clarkesville for 1:30 PM on June 26.  We will have a private room for 20-30 attendees.  The room fee is $50 which we can split between the T-Birds and Allante's clubs.  If we have less than that number we can get a semi-private area with no fee.  Paula has committed to confirming reservation on Friday 6/25 with the manager.

Driving to restaurant is just right on Grant from the car show to Washington Street, thru the shopping area, to The Attic which is on your left.  Parking is behind the restaurant.

There are some nice little shops in Clarkesville for exploring if you wish.

Jaemor Farms is not too far from Clarkesville and is a great place for farm-fresh vegetables, bake goods, yummy ice cream, and if in season some of the best peaches ever.  It’s a busy place but worth the stop.

Don’t forget to RSVP on the website that you will be attending so we can get a count.

Also remember to put you ACTC magnets on your car for the drive.
